Drip Casting
No pressure in the feed tanks
- Check the correct connection of the quick disconnect coupler, release the fitting and reinsert it until an audible clicking is heard
- Check the compressed air supply
- Check the connection cable between control cabinet and drip casting unit

No feed flow
- Check the correct connection of the quick disconnect coupler, release the fitting and reinsert it until an audible clicking is heard
- Check the compressed air supply
- Check the connection cable between control cabinet and drip casting unit
- Increase the pressure in the feed tanks
- Check if the liquid in the feed tanks is too viscose

No flow through the nozzle
- Clean nozzle
- Replace nozzle with larger nozzle
- Reduce viscosity

Only large droplets are formed
- Increase the pressure until a straight flow appears
- Clean the nozzle
- Increase nozzle diameter

The droplets are all of different size
- Change the frequency
- Change the amplitude
- Change the pressure
- Check function of Vibrator

Between the droplet very small droplets are formed
- Decrease the pressure
- Increase the frequency

In air the droplets are nice, but in the reaction bath I get flat spheres
- Reduce the distance to the reaction bath
- Decrease the surface tension of the reaction bath (e.g. with alcohol or detergent)

In the air the droplets are nice, but in the reaction bath I get “hats” and “triangles”. I cannot reduce the distance to the bath anymore
- Reduce the amplitude
- Use a larger nozzle
- Reduce the flow rate
